A home game for the men's second team saw them against Braintree's first. The Old Boys started off on the front foot with multiple attacks straight from the starting whistle, however the only place the attackers wanted to shoot was directly at the keepers pads. The first to learn this isn't the way to score goals was Mike Millane who found himself alone in the D and slipped one under the keepers arm to open up the scoring about 5 minutes in. Ten minutes later Connor Jury added one for himself smashing one off the post only to hit the back of the keeper and trickle over the line. 10 more minutes and the Old Boys found themselves with a penalty flick after the worlds slowest deflection from a short corner routine found itself being cleared off the line with the back of a stick, this was securely put away by Jack Summers. This clearly rattled the opposition as 5 minutes later a slightly after the whistle shot from Millane clipped a defenders leg which resulted in an aggressive response, earning the Braintree defender a yellow card which took the game to half time.

The second half carried on in its very one-sided manner with Millane earning another 2 goals within 12 minutes. Toby Jordan decided to add himself to the scoring tally after proving that if you flick enough short corners straight at the keeper eventually one will slip through a gap and find the goal. The final goal came from Jury, once again, taking the final score to 7-0, although it could have been many more if a certain individual didn't lose all hockey ability when in the opponent's D.

Play of the match was awarded to Asa Nash and the jacket of shame went to Jesus.
