The ladies 1s travelled away to Colchester this week full of excitement for actually having a sub (big thanks to Amy for changing her plans to get us an extra pair of legs)!

The ladies knew it was going to be a tough game with the opposition coming down from Div 1, we knew it’d be fast paced with a bit more work to do for the defence! Luckily for us they were also struggling for players so only had 11 themselves.

The game was pretty end to end, with majority of play in the middle of the pitch. We got quite a few chances but unfortunately nothing in the back of the net to tip the scales! Formation change at half time to try and give the forwards a bit more support but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to get us the 3 points but a draw was a fair result against a tough team who have been used to a quicker style of play!

Joint DoD to our lovely Niamh and Liv for a bit of shoulder barging (Liv said Niamh told her to get the player so she did what she was told!)

MoM to Jemima for her great play out the back but shoutouts to Milly for all her running (we won’t mention the magnet in her shoes this week) and Kate for her usual solid performance at the back!

Onto Chelmsford next week with a bit of a different lineup!
